24, freelance journalist at City University in London. Graduate in Arts and Modern Literature from the University of Bologna with an excellent knowledge of European culture, arts, cinema and literature. He went through slavery at an internship at QN – Il Resto del Carlino. He then decided he had enough of the Italian newspaper industry, so his next move was to look for some more enjoyable work as a freelancer for an independent radio station in Bologna, covering the local elections and national political affairs. Lillo still freelances for Radio Citta’ Fujiko as a foreign correspondent and edits the weekly foreign press review of the Insideout program. Being an unfortunate member of the generation who decided to flee Italy (Italian ‘brain drain’) after realising how dull their future would be in their country, he ended up in London. At City University, he focuses on international news, Italian politics and European affairs. His specialism at City is Investigative Journalism, his passion photojournalism.
